What a great Christmas we had this year! I love my kids, they make life so enriching.
This was an epic year because Ellie finally got the guts to sit on Santa's lap! The look on her face says exactly how she felt. Very nervous. But she did it! And she told him that she wanted Christmas Little People for Christmas. How sweet is she?
We had some great friends over on Christmas Eve to do the nativity scene with. Ellie wanted to be the cow! A very silly cow.
And here she is Christmas morning with all her presents! The kids main gift was a season pass to 6 flags Fiesta Texas which they loved! I love her hair in this picture. When she opened the Christmas Little People she said, "I telled him to bring me Christmas Little People and he did!" Then I asked, "wow, Ellie, how did he know that?" and she said, "cause I telled him mom".! (Thank you to the lady on Craigslist who was selling a 1999 set of Santa Little people)
Then Christmas evening we went out to the Jackson's lake house which is now one of our favorite traditions. We do another nativity scene there and this time Ellie was a sheep! She was going to be an angel, but it was so cold outside she had to keep her coat on which made for a pretty chubby angel. The sheep switch was a good move I think:)
Now onto Miah. Miah prepared an entire list to show Santa that she went over in detail with him. She wants to believe in him so badly, but she won't be fooled. She knows.
Miah taking on her role as an Angel in the nativity very seriously. "I bring you good tidings of great joy!"
Christmas Eve we always open their special Christmas Jammie's and here's Miah in the moment. The 3 girls matched thanks to a lucky trip to Kohls where I found the 3rd set in the right size! Thank you Kohls!
And here she is with with some of her presents. She also got Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii that is going to be loads of fun (for me too)!! Miah looks older to me in this picture!
And here's the matching set! Is that cute or what? I love the silky bottom Carters jamma's, they last for ever and are oh so comfy!
Abbey loves her pillow pet and money. She also got a nice pair of black boots that she can wear with jeans or to church. We all love a great pair of boots!
Abbey got to be Mary in the Christmas Day nativity at the Jackson's. This was her first time appearing in this role it was an "Emmy" performance for sure! She did have what appeared to be love handles from her jacket under the costume and she was hiding baby Jesus behind her back right then while the angel gave her instruction, but other than that, it was fabulous!
Onto Ethan. Look how big he is! He looks like he could take Santa down! This was a "I'll only sit here for 5 seconds mom for the picture and for the candy cane smile"
Ethan was super happy that he didn't have to match the girls in the p.j. selection this year. He LOVED his new Longhorn jamma's though!
Here are some of his gifts. He's holding in his right hand one of those remote control helicopter toys. That thing is really cool actually and I'm amazed that it hasn't broken yet!
He was a shepherd in both nativities, no interest in being Joseph much to my dismay:). At least he'll participate right?
And here we all are with Brother and Sister Jackson at the end of such a fun few days. Merry Christmas everyone, hope yours was as magical as ours!!
