Cliff Jumping with the family. I can honestly say this was one of the funnest family outings we've ever gone on. Perfect weather in October means a trip to Inks Lake! We've been hiking there many times before, but we've never braved the cliff. At least I haven't. Dallas and Ethan had jumped once before when I wasn't with them, but this was a whole family adventure this time.
First of all, for the effect, here's a shot of the whole cliff with Ethan looking down. No fear in this kid. We knew the water was plenty deep and safe enough.
So here he goes!
what a wing span!
I love the blast function on my camera. This is literally as he's hitting the water, so cool.
Abbey's next. For a girl who's afraid of roller coasters, I was surprised at how quickly she agreed to try this!
Plug that nose girl!
She's like me, super dramatic in the air.
Flawless entry, I give her a 10!
Then Dallas decides to show us all how it's done. Oh you mean that cliff!
Waaaaaa!
The kids really love his shadow on the rock in this one. Monster's Inc.? Mike Wazowski!
Holding your breathe is an important step! One that Dallas takes very seriously!
These were all taken while I was sitting across the lake with Ellie, cheering everyone on. Then she and I went back to the car to change into our suits and to leave the camera in the car. Which means there are no pictures of me or Miah jumping! Yes I jumped, a few times actually but not from where Dallas did. Miah jumped but not as high as Ethan, Abbey and I. There was a lower spot that she and her friend Shayla mastered and we were all proud of her! We went with our cute friends Brynn and Shayla Heaton, and as proof for their parents that they jumped, here's Brynn the brave:

We had people asking us if we were Adventure guides, people telling Dallas that he was their hero, and random strangers cheering us on and taking pictures of us. All in good fun people, you should try it some time!
Here are some more shots of our fun day. Here are the kids drying off in the sun. Notice Ellie in her unders:) Her pants got wet. How embarrassing that the unders had holes in them, hmmm time for new unders:)
Ethan, Abbey and Brynn. Before they got wet obviously
Cute Abbey.
I love this shot of Ellie. She was on the go and having so much fun!
Ellie and her Daddy.
Miss Miah and Shayla spent 70% of their time chasing down the frogs and lizards, there were tons of them! Here's one of the baby frogs that Miah caught. It was super tiny. Miah is so drawn to any living thing no matter how slimy.

Besides a few cactus pokies no one got hurt which I'm always grateful for. Overall I would definitely say that is was a day well spent. Very well spent.

awesome. we really miss you guys, wish we lived closer so we could do this kind of thing with you. makes me nostalgic for Lake Powell. We need to start planning our family vacation for next year.
That looks like a blast! I wish we were closer so we could join you for these adventures. Love you guys!
Impressive.. I think you're kids are much more fearless than I am. I didn't even notice Miah in her unders... I was squinting from the glare off Ethan's back. You really should get him in the sun more often! :)
Those are some pretty awesome shots!! What a fun day trip!! Love the Mike Wizoski shot and Miah's teeny frog!
