The investment of family fun

So if you would have asked me 3 months ago if we would be boat owners today I would have laughed really hard and said, "no way!" But opportunity presented itself in the form of a bigger tax return than we expected and a friend who was selling his half of a partnership. After much discussing and praying and researching, we decided this would be a great investment and provide the ultimate "bonding time" with the kids.
Here are some pictures of our first outing on Lake Austin last Friday, wow it was fun. I drove a boat for the first time in my life and did ok, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. We had bought a big tube for the kids to ride in but forgot the pump to blow it up so that'll have to wait until next time. Dallas got to Wake Board and I got to ski (ouch I'm super sore today), while Ethan held Ellie. Horray for that and for may more fun memories to come.

Oh yea, and now you all have a really good reason to come visit us, we'll be waiting!!

What about a "visit" from your long-lost friends that live about a mile away?
