Football

I know that football's a big deal for a lot of people, especially here in Texas. I get that you have to really be committed to be any good and put in a lot of time and money to make it work. What I don't get is why it's fun for boys to smash into each other and sweat uncontrollably for 2 hours straight, or why they have to show up for a game an hour and a half early after already practicing for 6 hours that week. Don't get me wrong, I like watching Ethan play, especially when they win 27-0 like they did last night, but I will admit that I will be glad when this football season is over. It just feels like it's taking over our lives! Ethan doesn't get home from school until 4:00, only has an hour and a half to get homework done and eat dinner and then he's out the door for football 3 nights a week! We've had to switch our family home evenings to Sunday, had to adjust our family scripture time and he hasn't had a minute to play with a friend since school started! The only reason we keep at it is because he's really loving it. He's pretty good at it too. Don't ask me what positions he's playing because I keep forgetting what it's called. I know that he plays more than one, but it's not quarter back and it's not wide receiver, ha ha, don't laugh at me. I will support him in this endeavor but will also continue to drop hints that soccer is a little more exciting and cool. I know a lot of you out there disagree, but what can I say? I'm a soccer girl. Anyway, here he is in all his glory. You can see the Bullock name above the number 9 jersey right in the middle. He's tackling some kid. Way to go Ethan, and good game Colts.

Woo Hoo! Go Ethan! Yes you are defiantly in FB country! I have to agree with the soccer comment, but man do I love watching a good FB game. Just think... if he's hitting them at FB he can get out all his aggression and not want to hit people later! Or maybe he'll be to tired to fight with his sisters... see... good times all around!
