Well our first Pinewood Derby was a success. I will admit that I was a little nervous about how competitive it was going to be because at the weigh-in last Wednesday there were parents with glueguns, extra weights and their son's car's wrapped in bubble wrap....but my concerns were unwarented. Those same parents ended up offering up weights to Ethan and I because our car came in WAY under the 5 ounce limit and they came to our rescue so we wouldn't come in dead last! The night of the race everyone was very sportsman-like and no-one freaked out when they didn't win, not even me:).

Ethan's car came in 3rd in three of the heats, but on the 4th heat he came in 1st! He didn't make it to the finals but he didn't care, it was a lot of fun.

He was so proud to get the "most futuristic car" award. Thanks to Dallas for helping him build such a cool car!
