And the Stockings were hung...

I have to share my successful sewing experience because they are few and far between. I've had a stocking dilema ever since Ellie was born because the original set of stockings that I bought for the family was only a set of 3 that I got from Walmart years ago along with a matching tree skirt. I've been looking thoroughly for a few years now to find something to match them but to no avail, even my on-line search proved unsucessful. I was sad because I really wanted them all to match and thought I'd add 2 more to the bunch for Dallas and I to make it an even 6. Then it dawned on me, my tree skirt that is currently no where near the matching stockings has the right fabric in it, I could sew 3 more!! Ambitious for me I know, but the figures glued on the top of the tree skirt gave me the window of possibility! And so here is the finished product, can you tell which ones I made? Of course I can tell, but I still thought they turned out pretty good. So now I guess if we have another baby Dallas will just have to give up his matching stocking and use his cute childhood one, because there's no more tree skirt to slaughter for a 7th. Hope Santa comes to fill them all with goodies for us in a few days or all that stitching would have been for nothing! Merry Christmas!!
